How to be Saved
The most important question that you will ever ask, How can I be saved?
What is salvation?
Salvation is the free gift of eternal life that is only made possible through Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 KJV
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13 KJV
Why do you need salvation?
You need salvation because you are a SINNER, and the punishment for sin is death and an eternity in Hell.
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 KJV
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” Hebrews 9:27 KJV
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15 KJV)
How do you obtain salvation?
1. Admit that you are a sinner
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:10 KJV
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 KJV
2. Recognize that salvation is only by the grace of God, not your good works
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
3. Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ” Romans 10:9 KJV
4. Ask God to save you
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10 KJV
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13 KJV
